BIG ol' frikkin' news!!!

Y'all, it has been a MONTH. A couple of weeks ago I was at a horse ranch in the mountains as a little vacation with my dear, sweet, astonishing partner Jonathan and he proposed. I could gush for days about how wonderful he is-- his character, his sense of humor, his warmth and support and sincerity and compassion and intelligence and . . . . and how unreal this bliss feels, but I'll settle with posting this lovely picture that was taken of us at a friend's wedding last August that captures the joy of it all.

Although my activity has gotten sparse, I've been posting more politicized content lately than in the past. Because you know what? The world is full of some shitty stuff and it deserves to be spoken out against, and art is just the tool for that, and I wanna join that long, proud history. If you comment with thoughtful questions and seek to make real conversation about topics x y and z I will try to respond, and let's have a dialogue about it.
If you come at me all attacky and trolling, guess what? You get blocked (: there's no reason to tolerate anyone's mindless, mansplainy jabber.

This journal entry is to celebrate and share with you all my wonderful Greyhound Kovic:
I got him about a year and a half ago. He is a retired racing dog- which is hilarious because for the majority of the time he's a slow, clumsy, earnest, awkward, anxious, stinky deer-horse-cat-on-stilts, stuffed full of love.
If you're looking to adopt/rescue a dog, especially if you want a bigger breed, I would absolutely recommend retired racing Greyhounds, 1000%. He does just fine inside my modest-sized apartment (it helps that he sleeps most of the time). Greyhounds are low-maintenance and very quiet, and while mine is bright he's no trouble-maker. And there are a -lot- of perfectly-good Greyhounds coming off the tracks all the time who need and deserve good, loving homes. Find an adoption center near you here: www.adopt-a-greyhound.org/dire… (well, that link is good if you're in the States).
I would recommend Kovic himself except he's extremely taken. Forever and ever. By me. Huzzah.

Hey everyone! I've just created this new account, 
For about a year now I've been going around taking lots of pictures of houses and bits of houses, lanterns- anything I find inspiring- and a lot of them have been sitting around doing nothing.
